SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Estonia–Indonesia CEO Business Forum, scheduled for April 22 in Jakarta, aims to become a strategic platform to enhance bilateral economic cooperation, drive innovation-led collaboration, and explore business opportunities between the two nations.

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated on Tuesday that the forum is designed to bridge the private sectors of Estonia and Indonesia. 

“This forum brings together decision-makers and visionaries who believe in innovation, sustainability, and cross-border collaboration,” he said as quoted on Antara.

Co-hosted by the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kaubandus-Tööstuskoda/KTK) and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), the event focuses on digital transformation, sustainability, and bilateral trade. Tsahkna emphasized that it is “a vital step in strengthening Estonia–Indonesia relations through structured, action-oriented dialogue.”

Key areas of focus for the forum include digital transformation, cybersecurity, green and clean technologies, maritime affairs, and the food and beverage sector.

Government officials, top business executives, and innovation experts from both countries will participate. The business delegation will represent diverse industries such as information and communication technology (ICT), industrial automation, forestry and agriculture, food and beverage technologies, and travel services.

A major highlight of the forum will be the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Kadin and KTK. This MoU reflects both countries’ strong commitment to boosting trade, facilitating knowledge exchange, and fostering technological collaboration.

The agreement underscores the growing enthusiasm for exploring new markets and deepening bilateral business ties. It also aligns with ASEAN’s digitalization goals by promoting joint digital infrastructure projects, co-developed digital services, scholarships, and capacity-building programs.

The forum is expected to lay the groundwork for long-term partnerships and innovation-driven growth between Estonia and Indonesia.
