SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced that Indonesia’s economic growth has grown by 5.05 percent cumulatively throughout 2023. This was announced by Act. Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti in a press conference in Jakarta on Monday (2/5).

Amalia explained that all business sectors grew positively in 2023, where the biggest contributors to economic growth were manufacturing, trade, agriculture, mining and construction. Meanwhile, the business sector with the highest cumulative growth is transportation and warehousing, which grew 13.96 percent. It is followed by other services with 10.52 percent and accommodation, food and beverage with 10.01 percent.

The growth of the three business sectors was driven by several factors, including the increased mobility of the community, such as the organization of international activities such as U-18 World Cup, ASEAN Summit and Mandalika MotoGP, as well as the preparations for the general election.
