Indonesia Ranks Third in 2024 ASEAN Energy Transition Index
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - According to a report by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Indonesia’s Energy Transition Index is the third highest in Southeast Asia in 2024. In its publication, Indonesia achieved an energy transition index of 56.7, placing it in the 54th spot in the world.
Globally, Sweden is ranked first with an index score of 78.4, followed by Denmark with a score of 75.2.
Meanwhile, Vietnam leads the energy transition index in Southeast Asia with a score of 61.0, followed by Malaysia with a score of 60.1.
In 2024, the WEF ranked 120 countries on their readiness for the energy transition. A total of 46 indicators are assessed, divided into 2 main dimensions, namely system performance and transition readiness.
