SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has officially opened registration for the Desa BRILiaN 2025 program as part of its commitment to supporting the Astacita initiative. 

Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) of BRI Ultra Micro Business, M Candra Utama, stated that Desa BRILiaN reflects BRI’s dedication to fostering rural development through community-based and technology-driven initiatives.

“Through Desa BRILiaN, we aim to empower villages across Indonesia to maximize their local economic potential with the support of BRI’s digital financial ecosystem,” said Candra in an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday as quoted on Antara.

Desa BRILiaN is an incubation program designed to enhance village development through four key aspects: strengthening Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDesa), digitalization, innovation, and sustainability.

By the end of 2024, BRI had supported 4,327 Desa BRILiaN villages across Indonesia, marking a significant increase from 3,178 villages in the previous year.

For 2025, BRI aims to further expand its impact by providing mentorship, training, and financial integration, reinforcing its mission to create innovative, adaptive, independent, and sustainable villages.

“We believe that empowered villages are the foundation of a strong and inclusive national economy,” Candra added as quoted on Antara.

Desa BRILiaN 2025 is open to villages across Indonesia that meet specific criteria, including first-time participation, having an active and productive BUMDesa, willingness to become an AgenBRILink BUMDesa, holding a BUMDesa savings account with BRI, and possessing a leading rural product (Prukades). Additionally, villages must submit a participation agreement form signed by the village head and representatives.

Villages interested in joining can visit the nearest BRI Unit Office, where BRI’s Mantri officers will assist in the registration process.

With Desa BRILiaN 2025, BRI continues to solidify its role in advancing rural economic development, ensuring that more villages can benefit from an integrated financial ecosystem.
