SEAToday.com, Dubai - PT Pertamina (Persero) (@pertamina) remains committed to and supportive of the Net Zero Emission 2060 target, which is being implemented through several programs. Pertamina's Senior Vice President for Research and Technology Innovation, Oki Muraza, explained Pertamina's achievements at the Conference of the Parties 28 (COP 28) in the United Arab Emirates through a release on Monday (12/4).

Oki explained that Pertamina is actively developing new and renewable energy (EBT) such as bioenergy and geothermal, which successfully reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 31 percent from 2010 to 2022. This step has a positive impact on its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) ranking. Pertamina also promotes energy sustainability through flare gas reduction and utilization, methane capture, and energy efficiency.

Pertamina is also developing carbon capture and storage (CCS) and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies and green refineries to reduce emissions through low-emission fuels.
