SEAToday.com, Tangerang - Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW) 2025 was officially closed by Director General of National Export Development (Dirjen PEN) Mardyana Listyowati. The event was held in unison with the 39th TEI on October 9-12, 2024 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, Tangerang, Banten.

This international modest fashion exhibition and fashion show carries the theme “Mark Ink” which aims to mark Indonesia in establishing itself as one of the influential countries in the global modest fashion industry.

JMFW 2025 successfully scored a potential transaction of 20.4 million US dollars or equivalent to Rp317.5 billion (assuming Rp15,567.20 per US dollar). This value exceeds the transaction target set, which is 3 million US dollars.

“Alhamdulillah, JMFW 2025 managed to score a potential transaction of 20.4 million US dollars. This value was achieved from business matching which is part of the JMFW 2025 series. We are grateful that the value exceeded the previously set target of US$3 million,” said Mardyana.

This, she said, is proof that Indonesia's modest fashion industry has great potential to continue to grow. Mardyana continued that JMFW 2025 presented 239 brands proud of the country by displaying more than 1,000 fashion collections.

In addition, the diversity of designs that combine local wisdom with global trends is one of the strong attractions of JMFW 2025. Mardyana appreciated the success of JMFW 2025.

“JMFW 2025 has gone well. We are proud of the implementation of various series of JMFW 2025 activities which include fashion shows, trade shows, business matching, talk shows, and textile design competitions. The Ministry of Trade continues to encourage the progress of the modest fashion industry in Indonesia, he explained.

Mardyana added, the organization of JMFW 2025 for four days successfully brought in around tens of thousands of visitors consisting of industry players, the public, and buyers from various countries. In addition, as many as 56 countries participated in exploring business agreements, such as Japan, Paris, the Netherlands and so on. This shows the existence of Indonesia's modest fashion industry which is getting stronger.

The closing of JMFW 2025 was presented by Bank Indonesia (BI) as the spirit of JMFW in strengthening the ecosystem with related stakeholders. JMFW is a bridge to the organization of the Indonesia International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MF) which will be held on October 30-November 3, 2024 at the Jakarta Convention Center.

The signing of this joint statement was facilitated by the Paris Trade Attaché.
