Pertamina Showcases Community Empowerment Programs at COP28

SEAToday.com, Dubai - PT Pertamina held a panel discussion entitled "Community Empowerment for the National Energy Transition" at the Indonesian Pavilion at COP28 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on Saturday (2/12).

In the panel, three environmental social responsibility (CSR) programs carried out by Pertamina as a company that promotes sustainability were mentioned, namely the Berdikari Energy Village, Pertamina Tourism Village, and Pertamina Forest. Pertamina Corporate Secretary Brahmantya S. Poerwadi said that the three CSR programs are the company's efforts to provide social benefits to the community.

The panel mentioned that Pertamina has 76 community programs for the Energy Village, which have succeeded in providing an economic impact of 1.93 billion rupiah per year and reducing emissions by 714,859 tons of CO2eq per year. The Tourism Village program currently has an impact on 5,500 people, with an increase in the community economy of up to 600 million rupiah per year. Meanwhile, the Pertamina Forest Program has succeeded in reducing emissions by 120 thousand tons of CO2eq per year.
