SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga said it will plan to mix 10 percent bioethanol in fuel oil (BBM) in 2026.
Pertamina Patra Niaga President Director Riva Siahaan said that in 2024–2025, his company will still focus on developing a 5-percent bioethanol mixture. Then, in 2026, they will only start a 10 percent bioethanol mixture.
Currently, Indonesia already has a 5-percent bioethanol product, Pertamax Green 95. This product is specifically based on molasses and fuel. Going forward with the 10-percent blend, Riva said that bioethanol needs are still met by the production of 30,000 kiloliters per year. He also mentioned that he would develop ethanol factories with PTPN.
