Tasikmalaya Football Shoe Manufacturers Receive Huge Orders, Due to FIFA U-17 World Cup
The FIFA U-17 World Cup Indonesia 2023 is a moment that the people of Indonesia are looking forward to. This event is a new historical record for Indonesia, where for the first time Indonesia is hosting the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
This success certainly brings its own pride and shows the commitment of the government and the people of Indonesia to supporting the world of sports, especially football.
In addition to the international football sporting event that attracts world attention, the organization of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023 also has a positive impact on the Indonesian economy. The football shoe manufacturers in Bojong Nangka Village, Tasikmalaya, West Java, received huge orders for soccer shoes.
Ujang Dara, for example, one of the shoe manufacturers in Bojong Nangka Village, also experienced an increase in orders of up to 80 percent. He sells soccer shoes under the brand Prostik (Tasik Products).
Prostik shoes are not only sold in West Java but also in Central Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, NTT, Lombok, and Malaysia. The shoes are made of cow leather and are sold at IDR110,000 per pair.
The manufacturing process is not easy because the shoe production is done manually. Ujang said he can produce as many as 30 pairs of shoes per day, which are marketed online and offline.
