SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Pertamina guarantees that Pertamax products are in accordance with the specified quality standards. This is in response to a complaint that Pertamax caused a damaged car at a vehicle repair shop in Cibinong, Bogor, recently.

“The sediment sample from the problematic vehicle has been checked by the Affiliated Institute for Research and Industry (LAPI) ITB and it is stated that the cause of the vehicle damage is not from Pertamax fuel,” said Pertamina VP Corporate Communication Fadjar Djoko Santoso, in Jakarta, Sunday, December 1, 2024.

Tests were also carried out by the Oil and Gas Institute (Lemigas) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources at a number of gas stations in Cibinong. As a result, Pertamax was also declared to be in accordance with the standards according to specifications and declared safe for use.

“So people don't need to worry about the quality of Pertamax. Pertamina guarantees and continues to be committed to providing quality products for the community,” Fadjar said.
