SEAToday.com, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto is set to inaugurate the National Investment Management Agency, Daya Anagata Nusantara (BPI Danantara), at the Presidential Palace Courtyard in Jakarta on Monday (24/2) at 10:00 AM WIB.

Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, confirmed that President Prabowo would personally announce and officiate the establishment of BPI Danantara.

"The President of the Republic of Indonesia will launch Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM WIB at the Presidential Palace Courtyard in Jakarta," said Yusuf.

This launch marks a new era in the management of the country's strategic investments and is part of the government's commitment to realizing Astacita, a grand vision to elevate Indonesia’s economy through sustainable and inclusive investments.

Yusuf also stated that the event would be open to media coverage and invited Presidential Palace journalists to cover the inauguration ceremony.

President Prabowo first announced the plan to launch Danantara during the World Governments Summit on February 14, 2025, where he reaffirmed that the official inauguration would take place on February 24, 2025.

As Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund, Danantara will manage assets worth over USD 900 billion, with an initial projected fund of USD 20 billion. The managed funds will be allocated to finance strategic projects in various sectors, such as renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, downstream industries, and food production.

On another occasion, during his party event on February 15, 2025, President Prabowo invited former presidents and religious leaders to oversee Danantara’s fund management.

"Danantara is the future energy powerhouse that we must safeguard together. That’s why I am asking all former Presidents to take part in supervising this fund. I also believe that, if necessary, leaders from NU, Muhammadiyah, KWI, and other key figures should also be involved in overseeing it," said Prabowo.
