2024 State Budget Closed Relatively Healthy and Safe, Minister of Finance Says It Can Be a Strong Provision in 2025
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The 2024 State Budget (APBN) was closed relatively healthily and safely. That way, this condition can be a strong provision to enter 2025.
Actually, state revenues experienced extraordinary pressure and contraction in the first semester of 2024. However, in the second semester of 2024, this condition has begun to recover.
This result was conveyed by the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati representing the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto at the IDX Building in Jakarta, Thursday (2/1/2025).
"APBN, Alhamdulillah, we closed 2024 much better than what we reported in the first semester in the DPR and in the Cabinet," said Sri Mulyani, as reported by Antara.
The State Treasurer explained that at the end of 2024, state revenues were recorded as still growing compared to last year. Although the growth was not high, it was quite decent for such a difficult situation.
Meanwhile, state spending in 2024 through the APBN is also quite large, including spending for elections, regional elections, development of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN), and additional social assistance in order to deal with El Nino, including spending for food security such as fertilizers and water pumps.
