KAI Sumut Offers Special Ticket Discount for 79th Anniversary
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) in North Sumatra is offering a special discount. This promotion is part of KAI’s 79th-anniversary celebration.
The promotion, called "KAI Birthday Bash," runs from September 27 to September 29, 2024. Tickets purchased during this period are valid for train departures between October 1 and October 31, 2024. “Customers only need to pay 79 percent of the regular ticket price, saving 21 percent,” said KAI Regional Manager Anwar Solikhin, quoted by Antaranews.
This discount applies to all official KAI ticket sales channels. However, it excludes purchases made at ticket counters and box offices. The routes covered by this promo include Sribilah Utama trains on the Medan – Rantau Prapat line, available for both Business and Executive classes.
Tickets purchased with the discount can be canceled or rescheduled, provided that availability remains. The discount is valid only for specified trains and cannot be combined with other promotions.
“We hope the public will take full advantage of this promotion,” Anwar added. He highlighted that this initiative is meant to bring railway transportation closer to the people of North Sumatra.
