Presiden Prabowo Umumkan Kenaikan PPN Menjadi 12 Persen Hanya untuk Barang Mewah, Berlaku Mulai 1 Januari 2025
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Presiden RI Prabowo Subianto resmi mengumumkan kenaikan pajak pertambahan nilai (PPN) dari 11 persen menjadi 12 persen pada 1 Januari 2025 hanya berlaku untuk barang dan jasa mewah. Hal tersebut diumumkan Presiden Prabowo usai mengikuti rapat Tutup Kas APBN 2024 dan launching Core Tax di Kementerian Keuangan, Selasa (31/12).
"Kenaikan tarif dilakukan bertahap dari 10 persen, jadi 11 persen April 2022, ini sudah dilaksanakan. Kemudian perintah undang-undang, 11 ke 12 persen pada 1 Januari 2025, besok. Kenaikan bertahap ini dimaksud agar tidak memberi dampak signifikan terhadap daya beli masyarakat, inflasi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi," kata Presiden Prabowo dalam konferensi pers di Kementerian Keuangan Jakarta.
Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, Menteri Keuangan Sri Mulyani dalam unggahannya di Instagram (@smindrawati), Selasa (31/12) mengatakan, kebijakan PPN tersebut sesuai dengan amanat UU Harmonisasi Peraturan Perpajakan UU 7/2021.
Lebih lanjut, Menteri Sri Mulyani merinci barang dan jasa yang dikenakan PPN 12% merupakan barang mewah, seperti pesawat pribadi, kapal pesiar, yacht, rumah/ apartment/ condominium mewah dengan harga di atas 30 miliar rupiah, serta kendaraan bermotor mewah. Untuk barang dan jasa yang selama ini menikmati bebas PPN tetap bebas PPN, dan yang sebelumnya dikenakan PPN 11%, tidak mengalami perubahan (tetap membayar 11%).
