Pemerintah Tambah Tiga KEK Baru

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto menyebut Dewan Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) telah menyetujui tiga KEK baru, Rabu (29/5).
Ketiga kawasan tersebut adalah dua KEK kesehatan: KEK Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) dan KEK Pariwisata Kesehatan Internasional Batam, serta satu KEK pengembangan nikel yaitu KEK Morowali.
Menteri Airlangga menegaskan bahwa KEK di BSD merupakan KEK kesehatan, pendidikan, dan teknologi. Untuk KEK Batam akan bekerja sama dengan Rumah Sakit Apollo dari India, sedangkan KEK Morowali akan melibatkan PT Vale Indonesia (INCO).
Ia juga memastikan pengembangan ketiga KEK tersebut tidak menggunakan Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Negara (APBN), namun seluruhnya berasal dari swasta.
Lebih lanjut, Menteri Airlangga berharap tiga KEK ini dapat mendorong daya saing Indonesia serta ekosistem usaha di sekitar kawasan.
