SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Wakil Ketua Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat (MPR) Sjarifuddin Hasan meminta masyarakat tidak mengandalkan pinjaman online apa pun alasannya.
"Jangan sekali-kali melirik apalagi mencoba-coba melakukan pinjaman kepada pinjol, apapun alasan serta tujuannya," kata Sjarifuddin Hasan dalam keterangan pers seperti dikutip dari Antara.
Sjarifuddin mengungkapkan, imbauan ini juga berlaku untuk para pelaku UMKM yang ingin mencari modal usaha. Menurut Sjarifuddin, jasa pinjol bisa menjadi bumerang untuk masyarakat yang dilanda masalah ekonomi.
Lebih lanjut, masyarakat juga menghadapi risiko intimidasi dari pihak pinjol dalam hal penagihan utang. Sjarifuddin pun berharap pemerintah eksekutif mau memfasiltiasi jasa pinjaman dana yang lebih ramah dan aman.
Salah satu contohnya, kata Sjarifuddin, pernah dilakukan di masa pemerintahan Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).
"Itu sangat membantu para pengusaha kecil dan menengah yang membutuhkan modal bagi usahanya. Cara-cara seperti itu harus dilakukan kembali, apabila kita ingin menyelesaikan persoalan pinjol maupun lintah darat," kata dia.
