Minister Uno: Tourism Foreign Exchange in Q3 Surpasses USD6 Billion

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno stated on Wednesday (11/15) that the foreign exchange of the tourism sector in Q3 of 2023 has reached USD6 billion. This number has exceeded the target, both the lower limit of USD2.07 billion and the upper limit of USD5.95 billion.
Minister Uno said that the tourism sector contributed 3.76 percent to the value of Indonesia's gross domestic product (GDP). He added that the export value of creative economy products reached USD11.82 billion, while the added value of creative economy products amounted to IDR691.75 trillion.
He also mentioned that the target of 8.5 million foreign tourists in 2023 had been achieved last September.
