SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Transaksi menggunakan QRIS sekarang dapat dilakukan di Singapura! Pada Jumat (17/11), Bank Indonesia (BI) dan Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) memulai implementasi pembayaran QR antarnegara.
Implementasi ini memungkinkan nasabah lembaga keuangan yang telah ikut bekerjasama untuk melakukan pembayaran ritel antar negara, dengan memindai Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) atau QR Network for Electronic Transfers Singapore (NETS), yang dimiliki oleh merchant di Indonesia atau Singapura.
Gubernur BI Perry Warjiyo menyatakan, hal ini merupakan upaya untuk menyediakan layanan transaksi yang lebih cepat, murah, transparan, dan inklusif bagi masyarakat kedua negara, yang menguntungkan terutama para pelaku bisnis usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah. Sementara itu, Managing Director MAS Ravi Menon menyebutkan bahwa implementasi ini dapat mendorong aktivitas e-commerce antar negara, dan transaksi pariwisata bagi wisatawan kedua negara.
